To better serve our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering virtual meetings as well as in-person meetings.
VIRTUAL MEETINGS
For New Referrals:
For new referrals, we are prepared to “meet” with potential new clients virtually, with Zoom or FaceTime meetings. We will discuss your project and if possible, you can show us the area(s) of your home or property that is involved in your project. From that initial meeting, we can establish whether we need more information, like measurements or photos. If so, we will then provide detailed written instructions (with photos, if possible), that will help you gather the information we need. We can then put together an estimate and/or determine whether we need an on-site visit. From there, if you accept our initial budgetary estimate, we will prepare and submit a contract as we always do. We can begin scheduling the work upon receiving the signed contract. We have been successfully utilizing e-signatures, but will also accept photos or scans of signed contracts, as well as physically received ones. In the cases where a subcontractor is needed, we will work with them to limit the amount of in-person meetings.
Once the project is scheduled, we will work closely with you to ensure we work within your comfort level and to take all necessary precautions to keep you, your family, and your property as safe as possible.
Please note, that while we can limit the amount of in-person meetings, to do the work, we will need to send workers to your property. It will be up to you whether you are present for the duration of the work or not. We can set up a lock box on your property, so our workers can access your home without anyone physically being there, if you’re comfortable with that. If you or anyone will be home, we will try to be as specific as possible as to where we will be on your property to limit face-to-face interactions. Please see below for our protocols for in-person meetings.
For On-Going Projects:
For our on-going projects, we can set up Zoom or FaceTime meetings to touch bases, go over the scope of work, make changes, answer questions, etc. If you are comfortable, we can continue your project, limiting in-person meetings as much as possible. However, if you are not comfortable with continuing work, in most cases, we can temporarily pause the project, if you prefer to wait until a safer time to resume work.
IN-PERSON MEETINGS
For New Referrals and On-Going Projects:
For any new referrals or on-going project customers that prefer to meet in-person, we are prepared to safely meet face-to-face. We will limit the amount of people present at meetings, as well as the duration of the meeting. We may send preliminary questions to you prior to meetings to help ensure we can be as efficient as possible. It will help if you send us any questions you may have before our meetings, as well.
Our strict company policy is that no employee should report to work if they or someone they come into close contact with is ill, until they are cleared with a negative COVID-19 test. We will send you a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire along with the Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19 form prior to scheduling a meeting. After reviewing your submitted forms and deciding it is safe to do so, we will then schedule our meeting.
All J&D Builders, Inc. employees and subcontractors will be screened as well. They will also be wearing masks for the entire meeting and duration of work on your property and we respectfully require that anyone present at the meetings or in your home during the work to do the same. If it is possible, we also request meetings to be outside to help ensure proper social distancing.
Keeping our customers, our employees, our subcontractors, and our community safe, is our TOP priority, so we hope these measures can help us conduct business while doing our part to keep Hawaii and its people safer and healthier. There is nothing ideal about what is happening, but we will do our best to meet and exceed all our customers’ needs. We are dedicated to making your project as smooth and stress-less as possible AND deliver the high quality and professional results we always strive for.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate these new and changing times and for giving us the opportunity to work with you.
Please stay safe!
